Ticker is a focus-friendly habit tracker and todo app. Daily streaks use forgiving grace periods, capturing a todo takes about two seconds, and gentle nudges keep you on track without nagging. It also offers optional Model Context Protocol (MCP) support, so AI assistants can help manage your tasks if you want them to.

### Can AI assistants like Claude or ChatGPT manage my Ticker tasks?

Yes. Ticker exposes both a REST API and an MCP server, so any MCP-aware client — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or n8n — can view your habits and todos and create new ones for you. Every action is scoped by a Personal Access Token you control and can revoke at any time.

### What happens to my streak if I miss a day?

Nothing breaks. Ticker's streaks use forgiving grace periods, so a missed day or two won't reset your progress. It's designed for distractible, busy minds — visual urgency cues replace nagging notifications, so you stay motivated without the all-or-nothing pressure of rigid habit apps.

### Is my data private, and where is it hosted?

Ticker is hosted in the EU and built to be GDPR-compliant. There's no anonymous access to your data — every read or write needs a Personal Access Token you issue and can revoke. Each token's activity is logged, so you can audit exactly what every connected AI agent did.
